I never understood that mentality, so for example if in 2 or 3 years I came to you and said, hey for say $500 or $300 I can make your pc faster and more powerful, you would say no? aka like its new, with better performance and much more task/multi tasking ability, aka new pc for $300.

Well since you put it that way lol you have a point, But I ordered what I did out of monetary reasons. I am happy with my choice. If I can't upgrade with the mb then I will buy a new on to go with the i9 when that times comes to update.

Thats cool, that I can understand but I never understood when people say, "I'm not gonna upgrade that", lol as you see it makes no sense.

but different strokes for different folks.

Well my life sorta revolves around my wife and I both being disbabled. So having the sort of cash to worry about what if's in the future is kinda hard right now. I know I have been drooling over DS for about a year now and finally got myself into the position to buy a computer I always wanted. Yeah I won't lie, I would have loved to have gotten a 920 with the bells and whisles that go along with it, but I I am chose to be a little responsible and not break the bank Hug but who knows what the future holds, down the line I know I would love to upgrade to i9

I can understand that but what I don't understand is the fact that the difference was like $97, was that out of the budget? for that you get 6GB of ram vs 4GB, the ability to upgrade for say $300 in 3 years to a 6 core cpu, and the 920 does much better with multi gpu then the i5, the i5 sucks at it.

Here you go Ticket# 385845 --- Price: $1743 (To see this build click here) Price after current promotion $1743

Sadly to say, yeah that was out of budget. It was either pick the i7 860 or go with amd..I think I made the better choice :D

Well if that the case then its completely understandable, but then why did you go with the ftw edition of the mobo? you didn't need that and could have saved money.

In my budget, the mb wasn't one the choice to go skimpy about, but at least I fixed my case choice, I wanted the haf 922, I just forgot to update it but DS took care of it, at least I am up to stage 5 in building already Ermm

but that would have been $31 off the difference of the i7 making it only $66 difference, do you know what you gained by going ftw? nothing, its more for somebody that wants to push his oc to the limits, othewise for your use you have nothing that he regular p55 does not.
