I just got the parts for my new PC and Ive never experienced such thing in my life. Ive build a sh*t load of PC but this was just weird. I lined up the corners of my CPU with the corners on the mobo and when i fold the holder on it and cliped it on the side i heard this crounching sound... O_O  think i either crushed the CPU or it jumped in place or somehting..PLEASE HELP!!!

Ok, i just uninstalled the liquid cooling head and took out the CPU...It had no visible damage on it nor the MOBO...But it had thermal paste ALL OVER it...can that hurt the CPU or its ok as long as it doesnt touch the bottom of it?

I know..the PCI-E is the very small one...the wireless card is a PCI and it has the length of a normal PCI slot but the patter is different..It doesnt actually have a part that would couse it to bump into anyhting ..it has a extra open  space in the patter...I might be able to push it in the PCI slot..I just want youre opinion, should I try to force it in?
