im part of an intel edge program and they released an article on the new i7 875k  k for special. It's supposed to be an AMD phenom x6 competeor b/c it has an unlocked multiplyer and is only about 360$, I believe the reviews i ve seen place it over all the other i7's none overclocked except the 975 and 980x. yet it never shows the 920 or any of the others overclocked. Basically im trying to figure out wheather i should buy this one if the performance is greater or get the 940 i can get discounted at the price of 120$? also im trying ton see it the k series has turbo boost?

Im also curious to see if digital storm will offer this product in their custom configurations

if you can get a 9series at $120, theres no discussion. get the 9 series

DS does offer the 875k in builds in the configurator, look at the tower/build choice 2nd in from the left side, its listed under i5 builds for some reason, i guess because of the socket =/

Oh man, a 940 for $120 is an absolute steal. They're basically a 930, which normally cost over twice that much. What is this Intel Edge program exactly?

The 900 series has some better features inherent to the platform over the 700 and 800 series which make it more attractive considering the small price difference between the two. In particular the 900 series has a much better motherboard selection, more developed and bigger selection.
