well i know the 960 is better, but is it worth the price? is the 920 good enough or should i upgrade? what do you guys think?

I would go for the i920 hands down. You can OC that to 4ghz for a lot cheaper than buying the960.. Only difference is you'll get slightly better temps with the 960 chip but not by much. |

that is not entirely corrrect.
yes go with 920 cause you will not notice a difference between the 2 chips at 3.7GHz or 4.0GHz performance-wise. however each chip is different, a 960 can endup cooler, the same or hotter then a 920, you never know, its a luck of the draw, each chip is different. |

Overclock the i7 920. Hey, I had DSO overclock mine with the reg intel heatsink and it's running at 3.33 Ghz stable. Who knows how high you can ramp it up with liquid cooling!
