Hello!

Specifications: Chassis Model: Cooler Master HAF 932 Exterior Finish: - Standard Factory Finish Interior Finish: - Standard Factory Finish Trim Accents: - Standard Factory Finish Processor: Intel Core i7 920 2.66GHz (Quad Core) Motherboard: EVGA X58 3X SLI (Intel X58 Chipset) (Supports Triple SLI or CrossFire) System Memory: 6GB DDR3 1866MHz Corsair Dominator DHX (High-Performance) Power Supply: 1000W Corsair HX (Dual/Triple/Quad SLI Compatible) (Silent Edition) Card Reader: - No Thanks Hard Drive Set 1: Operating System: 1x (80GB Solid State (By: Intel) (Extreme Performance) (Model: SSDSA2MH080G1C5) Set 1 Raid Options: - No Thanks Hard Drive Set 2: Multimedia\Data: 1x (500GB Western Digital (16MB Cache) (7200 RPM) (SATA) Hard Drive Set 3: Backup\Misc.: - No Thanks Optical Drive 1: DVDąR/RW/CD-R/RW (DVD Writer 20x / CD-Writer 48x) Optical Drive 2: - No Thanks Internet Access: High Speed Network Port (Supports High-Speed Cable / DSL / Network Connections) Video Card: 2x SLI Dual (NVIDIA GeForce GTX 275 896MB (Includes PhysX Technology) Add-on Card: - No Thanks Sound Card: Razer Barracuda AC-1 (Recommended) Extreme Cooling: H20: Stage 3: High-Performance Liquid Chilled FrostBite System For CPU Liquid Color:- Not Applicable, I do not have a H20: Stage 3 Cooling System Selected Chassis Airflow: Upgrade Chassis With Zalman Performance Fans (Up to 6 Fans) Internal Lighting: Internal Chassis Lighting System (Blue) Enhancements: LCD NZXT Sentry LX Temperature Display & Fan Controller (Requires Chassis Airflow Upgrade) Chassis Mods: - No Thanks Boost Processor: Stage 2: Overclock the processor between 4.0GHz to 4.2GHz (Requires H20 Cooling Upgrade) Boost Video Card: - No Thanks, Please do not overclock my video card(s) Boost Memory: - No Thanks, Please do not overclock my memory Tweak Windows: - No Thanks, Please do not tweak the services on the operating system Windows OS: Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium (64-Bit Edition) With Windows 7 Upgrade Coupon Restore Kit: Digital Storm Specialized Recovery System (DVD Image Based) Virus Protection: - No Thanks Office: - No Thanks Benchmarking: - No Thanks Install/Test Game: - No Thanks LCD Display: - No Thanks Surge Shield: - No Thanks Speakers: - No Thanks Keyboard: - No Thanks Mouse: - No Thanks External Storage: - No Thanks Exclusive T-Shirt: - No Thanks Priority Build: - No Thanks, Ship Within 5-10 Business Days After Order Is Successfully Processed Warranty: 5 Year Platinum Care Extended Parts & Labor Warranty (Highly Recommended) I am particularly concerned about the temps in any i7 920 oc machine I would buy. What exactly does the Frostbite cooling setup consist of? I haven't been able to find any reviews that would give me an idea of how effective the water cooling system would be compared to, say, the Noctura, which appears to be the best air cooling option offered by DS from the reviews I have seen. Also, does anyone who has an overclocked i7 920 from DS with FrostBite cooling know their cpu load temps, voltages and clock speed? I'm very worried about how hot i7s get while seriously OCed and I want to be sure it will be kept sufficiently cool. Ditto on the air cooling options, would anyone mind posting their temps, etc if they have such a system on air? Secondly, I think either the HAF 932 or 922 would be the best case for me to get. I am particularly concerned about temps, and from what I have read those two cases are not terribly loud while having great cooling performance. Size is not really a factor, but I haven't looked into the other two options for cases and am wondering if that is a mistake. Again, anyone willing to provide data on the temperatures in their systems at load would be so helpful to me making my decision. Thanks in advance! |

Oh, I will be buying the SSD myself as well, so I can get a g2 and save a few hundred bucks. In addition I'm considering dropping the 2x gtx 275 and getting 2x hd 5850 or 5870.

I would either go with 2 x 275 or wait for the new nvidia cards to come out. |
