In the i7 Extreme 4 configuration there are 2 gtx295 cards inside a HAF 932 case.
Im worried about the GPU temps since DS didn't offer any beefier cooling options on the cards. I wonder why though, i'd definitely have paid the extra $$ for it. I know that chassis has really nice airflow, especially the side 230mm fan blowing right over the gpu's... but is that really enough?! |

You can call and ask if they will water cool the video cards and you are willing to spend the extra money, but there is no guarantee they will agree.

well your room temps plays a part also, but heat can be an issue.

I think its too late to call and ask, they're already at the end of stage 5 phase 2 stress testing. It should be shipping in a couple of days.
But i checked out the various temps on the cards, which temps are acceptable and which aren't. These cards can take quite a bit of heat with no worries, but with normal room temp and a case like the HAF they shouldn't go past 80 or so under load. And they idle in the 40's Thanks for the replies. |
