The choices for keyboard, monitor and mouse are extremely limited here. There is almost a galaxy of choices available online, and you might start by educating yourself what those are. Talk to friends, look at a few You Tubes, and check some reviews.
Do you even know what you want in a monitor? That's the key question for any gaming system. At your budget point, IMHO you should skip right over 1080p and look at 1440p monitors. That's 2560 wide by 1440 high pixels. 27" is a good size for gaming, but some like a curved widescreen. 4K gets a lot of attention, but gaming on a fast 4K monitor is the most expensive way to go for both monitor and graphics card. IMHO, 4K makes little difference on a monitor smaller than 34", and so wastes a lot money. You want about a 144Hz speed IPS panel that's G-Synch COMPATIBLE. For a very modern and strong performer, and very good for VR: https://www.digitalstorm.com/configurator.asp?id=4277286 The 12700K is the best proc right now for gaming. The 12900K is actually not quite as good as a gaming proc. 16 GB of RAM is enough for gaming right now, but having more for the future when budget allows is a plan. The motherboard is a modest upgrade that's a bit better at temp control. The power supply is all you'll ever need for future upgrades. The 500GB 980 PRO SSD gives you a hyper-fast Primary drive that's easily manageable at that size for swift scans and back-ups. Secondary drive is a larger 980 PRO for games. 1.5 terabytes is plenty to get you started for a year or two. More SSD storage is very easy to add, or pretty inexpensive to have added later when you need it. You could look at a 1TB 970 EVO PLUS for Storage Set 3. Don't get larger, it's not very price friendly here. The RTX 970 is the best bang for the buck at 1440p and VR IMHO. I put the fancy fans in because they look great in the Lumos case. Questions? I thought Cretae was talking about this oldie but goodie. The GeForce GTX 970 which was a performance-segment graphics card by NVIDIA, launched on September 19th, 2014.

I was thinking maybe there was another legacy card reboot by Nvidia. Crazy thing is it could happen. |

Those old cards still work a little. I still use my EVGA Titan in my old 12 year old Digital Storm system. It originally had an EVGA GTX 295 in it. It is amazing how graphic cards keep getting more powerful especially right after you have bought the latest. The day you install something the graphic card manufacturers announce a new improved model that makes whatever you just bought seem snail slow compared to the latest & greatest.
