I'm looking to purchase my wife a laptop as a Christmas gift; however, I would like to get an early start on this effort. My budget is relatively limited. I can only afford to expend between $450 to $600. However, this laptop will primarily be used for the following applications:
*Facebook gaming *E-mail/social networking *Web surfing *Infrequent document processing *NOT a sub-notebook/netbook Obviously, I would prefer something that runs Windows 7. Beyond that, I have no strong desire for additional features. If possible, an added perk would be the ability to run World of Warcraft with moderately good settings. If anyone could make some suggestions, I would be most appreciative. There may be a little flexibility in the budget to go up to $650, but that's about the absolute ceiling. As I previously stated, I want something that runs well, but it doesn't need to be top of the line. |
