In Need Of New PC - Config Help

when looking for a monitor look for an ips panel since it has much better picture quality, because of this they of course cost more.

right now for around $400 you can get the dell u2410 which is a good ips panel.

other then that we need to know what size res we are building the pc for, cause it pretty much build around that, specially at your budget, we don't want to give you too much or too little, we need to give you what you need.

1920x1200 more than likely ounce I buy a new monitor.
Maybe higher? I'm not sure.

Can I not get the corsair obsidian 800D?
Even if i request it and pay extra to add it?

I might drop to a 750w but it might be best to stick with 1000w

Whats the difference between the Evga X58 SLI LE and the Evga 3X SLI board?
Other than the $ 44 price bump?

I noticed the Noctua NH-D14 does not fit on the 3X SLI board as well but does on the LE?


I can bump it up to $2500 if the motherboard would be better.


This is my ideal system I changed a few things.
Also is it better to get the 5870 Sapphire version?
And I could step it up $ 100 if the 2GB would be better?

800d is not the best case for systems that are air cooled, the haf/sniper cases have the best ariflow, but if you want 800d then go for it.

if you drop to 750w then you will not be able to go cf in the future and not push the psu.

there is nothing on 3x sli that you would need, go with LE it has all you need, the 3x sli would be a waste of your money.

the d14 does fit the LE.

no point in Sapphire version.

you only need the 2GB version if you play games like gta4 that need that much vram, most games don't.

no point in 930, which is why I picked 920.

no point in goning with a 500GB for HDD1 and 1TB for HDD2, instead go with 1TB for HDD1 and In a few month buy a ssd and use that for HDD1 for OS/Games/Apps, and push the 1TB to HDD2 and use it for storage.

in your config you have the 3x sli (which is pointless) and the d14, the d14 does not fit on the board, so you would have to choose a new cooling aka u12
