Hi guys what's up. Anyway i'm looking for a monitor at 1920x1200 preferably with a glossy finish and preferrably not a TN panel but if i gotta use a TN i will. I want to use the monitor for gaming and at 1080p with my ps3 and blu rays. The only real solution i've come across is the T240HD from samsung and i'm looking for other options. I'd like to stick around 22-26" because my desk wont handle anything bigger

I have the T240HD, it'a great TV/Monitor... actually i'm gonna get another one.
I got it from best buy for around $500 on sale. 2 HDMI ports, VGA, DVI, etc.
The image quality is clear and sharp. It's just as good as my 30" Apple monitor.
Good Luck.

I used to have the hp w2408h monitor then I swapped it for a Samsung T240 one. The reason is because for some reason at the very top of the monitor it would go weird in dark scenes and colors would almost look negative or rather inverted. This happened no matter how I looked at the monitor. Then I realized all the HP sets in the store had bright white pictures running on them. Anyways maybe it was something wrong with my unit so I got the T240 now which is awesome. I like it a lot right now.
For OP, the price you have you should be looking into an S-IPS panel. They are awesome, I think apple has one 24" that is S-IPS. I do not know of others though. And if it is an S-IPS panel it should be great for HDTV usage. Hope this helps |

Why do they blame me for all their little failings? They use my name as if I spent my entire day sitting on their shoulders, forcing them to commit acts they would otherwise find repulsive - Lucifer

I'm also looking into getting the T240HD. Many people say that I should get a bigger HDTV, but I object to pay more than $400. Personally I don't really want the "HDTV", I just want a monitor and tv in one, and I believe that going monitor with tv tuner is better than tv with pc connections, plus a 24" is plenty big enough for me.
