I'm just not sold on SSD right now. I don't mind having it take 3-5 mins to boot up my computer as I am usually doing stuff anyway while it boots up. I don't download any music and I normally only have 1-2 games loaded on my computer at a time. I'd like to be able to play my games at a good high resolution. I also do still like the floppy for small files lol.

Resolution and budget, that's what we want.

Things about your build:
- Hailstorm is normally recommended for DS's larger custom LC builds ("Sub-Zero LCS")
- Current mainstream sandy bridge processors can be overclocked to surpass last generation Core i7's in performance.
- Floppy drive....? What?
- Velociraptors are a waste of money. Trust me, I own one. You're much better off with a SSD and 1TB data drive. Plus, hey, two 300GB veloci's costs $516. An 80GB intel SSD and a 1TB data drive is $351. Why the heck not?! LOL
- GTX 590s....meh. One, they can't handle overvolting, something in their circuitry can't handle much. From a review, a resistor blows first, acting like a fuse and saving the card. "Fix" the resistor, and a MOSFET blows, something's up with that thing IMO. Also, a single GTX 590 is weaker than two GTX 580s. You are aware of that, right? The GPUs are downclocked on almost every dual GPU graphics card, the 590 is no exception. Even still, GTX 580s are overpriced. You could just get two GTX 570s and clock them up to GTX 580 speeds. Overall, should be the same price as a single GTX 590, but with more actual power at your use.
  - Also, are you only running one monitor? A 590 or double 570s/580s is a bit overkill for just one monitor running 1920x1080 (i see you've picked out the 23.6" Samsung monitor). For a 27" monitor running 2560x1600 though, that much graphics power is reasonable.
- Asetek units have been known to leak in some instances, as well as the fact that they do not contain enough fluid circulating around to justify themselves as a decent liquid cooling unit capable of hitting very high overclocks. You're better off with a Noctua air cooler, it'll actually do better. With LC, it's either you go the whole hog, or you get an air cooler. No compromise.
- Zalman fans are good fans, but are frikken loud. I'd advise against them, and stock fans are normally enough.

We can't decide a cost effective RAM capacity and graphics card pick until you give us your resolution (and how many monitors, if you run more than 1) and general usage for your PC. I'd assume most of us would whip up a build similar to this, however :

Did you not read out posts here?

http://digitalstormonline.com/forums/forum_posts.asp?TID=14144&KW=&PID=162300#162300

your build is the old platform, for that money you can get the new platform that has more power.

you don't want the 590, its a single card in sli, and 2 x 570/580 will do better and run cooler and allow better oc if needed.

Sli for your res is a bit overkill depending on what games you play.

Here you go Ticket# 510133 --- $3135 (To see this build click here)

add a gen 3 intel ssd later, it will be much faster and cost effective then veloci, the black caviar 1TB has faster transfer speed than the 300GB veloci if I remember correctly.

Thanks, I do like the 2nd configuration better than my initial one. Just curious but would it be worth it to get the 2x NVIDIA 580 over the 2x 570?

AT 1900 x 1200 most times you should not be able to tell the difference with a 60hz monitor. but if you like it then its your money.
