I am looking for a new gaming computer after my one-year old custom computer started to have problem again. At this point, I am still not sure whether I should get it from DS. I spent $3k+ for my current one from a reputable builder, Puget Custom Computer, but somehow my computer just kept having issues and had to ship back 3x within 1 year. I primarily use it to play WOW.
I am particular looking for one will run WOW smoothly and Quiet one.
Here's my config, please give me your suggestion if you can. Thanks!

Any big different between 1333Mhz memory compare to 1600?
Also, if I order a new hard drive later from somewhere else, will my warranty on the system be voided?
I think I am getting closer to buy this system. :)

you won't notice the difference between 1333 and 1600MHz ram.
if you order a new drive from some place else, the warranty won't cover the new drive.

Interesting.. any reason why PS changed to Corsair? also memory cards changed to Mushkin? Also, why changed the core from 940 to 920?

well actually memory cards changed to 1333MHz from 1600MHz and yes the brand changed to Mushkin.
reason is because you will never notice the difference between 1333 and 1600 and Mushkin tests their ram before they send it to DS so their ram here will have a lesser chance of going bad
I like corsair's PSUs I think since its dual 12v rails its better, but between the 2 its more preference then anything. Edited by DST4ME - 20 Mar 2009 at 12:56pm |

yes the 940 will OC to 3.6 to 3.8 from the numbers we have seen here and the 920 will OC from 3.3 to 3.8 from what we have seen here, most 920s are around 3.6 to 3.8 just like the 940s so might as well save your money and go with a 920.
