Just got the Lynx Ultimate (level 4). No drive bays. My first computer without them. I want to add a SATA III internal SSD -- 1 or 2 TB. For clarity, I'm talking about an SSD drive that fits in a 2.5" bay and looks like a rectangular piece of plastic. Normally they go in a drive bay. But no drive bays. Well I see none. I have an M2 on the motherboard, so thus the idea that no drive bays are needed.

Web and forum searches and I don't see any good results on such a situation. On person said just use duct tape. A video showed a guy using a rubber band and an office clip.

How about a professional way to do it? I see a plate on the bottom with slots. Looks like a housing for the power supply, but also looks like it might be intended to attach brackets. But I don't see a place to buy a bracket to hold the SSD. Maybe I need a tip for the right search term.

What am I missing?

The case description of the Lynx shows it has 2.5" drive bays.

As far as I know, they should be behind the right side panel.

I am not familiar with that case but most have indents in the back for those drives. Open the back panel and they should be apparent. Maybe the appropriate wiring is also installed and close by. You will need power and data cables.
Good luck and enjoy. Smile

Didn't realize there was a back panel that could be opened. Thanks for the tip. The drive bays are hidden underneath.

But from the left side glass panel there are a couple metal plates mounted on a base. They have a 4 hole pattern for a SSD. The lower base of the case has a ... housing I'll call it ... that covers the drive bays accessible from the other side and covers the power supply. That can be mounted to with those plates.

I ended up using a drive bay from the back.

Thanks!
