Hello Digital Storm,
I received my Lynx Gaming PC on Tuesday last week, and have been having one helluva time ever since, trying to get my Hardware and Games to work. I have moved the two SATA HDD [1TB & 500GB] from my old Gaming PC [which ran on Windows 7 Pro], into this Lynx PC which has Win 10 Home as it's OS... I could try re-installing each of them, but it would kill my DATA usage and would then take my about 8 months or more to do so. [One Game a Month] . I did install Steam app into my new C:\drive. I then installed Logitech Gaming Software [fresh] into C:\drive. When I opened that I didn't see my G920 wheel as before, but only a keyboard. I also have installed two PCIe USB 3.0 7-port Adapter Cards into the small [PCIe x1] slots, and can't see them in my Device Manager. I placed the little CD [included] into my Lynx DCD/CD external drive that I ordered with the PC, but it starts, [green light comes on], then it stops. I assume that CD has my drivers on it, but can't confirm that I loaded American Truck Simulator files n folders by [drag n drop] into Program Files (x86) > Steam > Steamapps > Common, and by hook or by crook, have managed to get that game working [kind of]. Once or twice it worked as it recognized my G920/shifter/pedals etc. But I couldn't get my TrackIR 5 to work [as it did in my last PC]. I haven't bothered to move or install any other games until I get this one to work; and also all the devices connected to my DS Lynx PC. I have to tell you, I've tried so many different things to get stuff to work that I can't remember which ones worked and which ones didn't. Can you give me some pointers for getting [or confirming] that my hardware [PCIe USB cards] work at all. My Order # is: 96946. Respectfully, Vernon G. I can't be entirely sure you would see the cards themselves in device manager, but if you plugged something into them, you should see that.
I don't remember exactly what or how, but I recall moving my games drive over from my Win 7 rig, and getting Steam to see the games on it was a tad tricky. I also put Steam on my new C drive, but I had to Google exactly how to get Steam to recognize all my games. Had something to do with including the library folders on your other drives by opening Steam>Settings>Downloads>Steam Library Folders window. I'm obviously no expert in these things, but I am the first to answer. I have no clue why your G920 isn't showing up. I don't know if my answer on your adapter cards is any help, but I know the Steam libraries can be made accessible. Good luck, and if no one else can help you, DS has got some folks that probably know this stuff backwards. |

G'day Cretae,
Thanks for your response. Yes, I did install a fresh version of Steam on my C:\drive. Other than that, I will follow/look into your 'Google' suggestion to find out about recognizing all my games. By the time I get done with this mess, I'll have files and folders all over my C:\drive in places I really don't need them. Thanks for your reply and being the 1st to answer. That counts for a lot. Much appreciated. |

Sorry to hear of your issues, Vernongt. Have you tried contacting Digital Storm Support directly? This is a public use forum and while we do see the "GrandMaster of Getting Things Done" Alex in here, these messages have mostly been peer to peer.
You can email Alex directly at [email protected] Good luck and do keep us posted! |

I would get in touch with our support team for help with this. To be honest, this can be quite complex, we would advise that you try installing one thing at a time and iron out any issues before you move onto the next.
Some hardware and games/software may not place nice with a newer computer and operating system, you may need to do a fresh install of Windows and start from scratch. |
