Topic: Installing Video card drivers in visa 64... Posted: 05 Dec 2008 at 12:08pm |
Anyone ever have problems???
I unplugged one of the power supply cables on my GTX280 yesterday while the machine was powerered down.. I plugged it back in and started up the PC and it would not recognize the card... I wiped out the old drivers and installed fresh ones but still got the same error... I was only able to fix this problem by using a system restore point....
Any help would be great incase i ever upgrade my video card during the life of the system (which im sure I will...)

Hrm, that's odd- the card works now, right?
Did you try reseating the card? Maybe it came loose when you move the GTX powercord.
I haven't encountered any installation errors with my 280s. I wouldn't think that pulling the powersupply out during a powerdown is a good idea though! doh!

If you don't mind me asking, why did you unplug the power supply cable on your 280? Did you add other hardware? |
