Yep, just got my copy.
It makes "Future Proof"  more and more sounde like a marketinig term.Unhappy
Still seems to me it would be best to by the best system you can within budget with a life expectency of about 3 years on average., Then start saving for you next new system.
I'd be curious how many people have/could update systems that are 3 or more years old and is/was it worth it.
Life's too short

He said Nvidia is in a good position because Intel needs SLI more than Nvidia needs Nehalem right now

This seriously made me laugh.

Nvidia deserves to go out of business =x
The only thing that keeps me wishing on a wishing star.

It looks like a power play by intel to squeeze nvdia out.   Intel's competition is AMD(if you can call it a competition) and they are following AMD's lead by attempting to get into the GPU side of the bussiness, whhich IMO is the right way of growing a bussiness. But as the article stated Intel had failed 1 time before at this. But if they can reduce Nvdias market share, over time it will lead to a takeover and once aquired Intel can let nvdia go back to doing what they do best, but doing it for Intel.  I think it will be interesting as it plays out.
