Any word when the Bolt X might receive the Intel Core i9-12900K chipset and motherboard treatment with DDR5? Been looking to get a Bolt X but would like to get one with this latest Intel lineup.

Unless Alex or Stellar gives us an answer, you just have to keep on looking at the configurator, like us. It is unfortunate that potential purchasers are faced with limited choices but we are only users of the systems and have no input.

Pure speculation, but I think the Bolt chassis may have an issue with heat dissipation on the newest parts. I know the Nvidia GPUs run hotter this generation. I have also read that DDR5 RAM will run hotter than DDR4. If that's the case, I'm sure DS is trying to work it out.

Hi,

The CPU runs too hot to put into the BOLT chassis unfortunately. There is no plans to add it to this generation of Bolt chassis.
