Finally there coming and it looks like there not the best, but the definitely the most reliable. With the new formats releasing it leaves me wondering if I should get 1 300gb or just go with 2 160s in a raid 0. What do you guys think? Either way there about the same cost wise with the 2 in raid coming out a few bucks more.

If you are comfortable with using RAID, that would be by far the better choice IMHO, Having had many PC's with Intel SSD's ranging from a single SSD, to 2 in RAID 0, 3 in RAID 0, 4 in RAID 0, and 8 in RAID 0, the difference overall with multiple SSD's is worth it performance wise, and of course a little more performance comes with more risk.. lol

I'd echo Justin, as long as you don't mind the small extra chance chance of a hardware failure because of the extra disk, then go for it. Personally, I've never seen the sense in such large capacity SSDs when you could RAID 0 smaller drives for the same price and much more performance.

Are the any benefits to raiding when dealing with gaming or how fast programs open?
