Anyone know when its coming out? I'm sick of vista and ready to install my ultimate edition windows 7 and have a speedy storage solution. Anyone know if the crucial drives are any good? The c400 is suppose to be out here soon in feb, im honestly contemplating on getting 1 or 2 of those instead.

Here is what storage review.com has to say about them..

Micron says the C400 drives have 17 percent faster read speeds than their C300 predecessors (up to 415MB/s). Write speeds vary by drive capacity (64GB - 95MB/s, 128GB - 175 MB/s, 256GB and 512GB - 260MB/s); the 512GB drive is up to 20 percent faster than the fastest C300 at 260MB/s. All of the new RealSSD drives feature SATA 6.0Gbp/s interfaces.

Keep in mind those big C300 and C400 numbers are sequential speeds, which don't come into play as often as small file speeds, which both the Crucial and Intel SSDs are great at.

The real question will be price, since the Intel SSDs are slated to come out at 1GB/$, which is amazing, so we'll have to see how other SSD prices compare when they do all finally come out.

And the G3s still have no release date update other than "Q1 2011."
