Great stuff if you have a RAID array on the ICH10R. Been forever since they updated last.
Download here. |

Thanks for the heads up, I got it downloaded and running.
I have a question though and it applies to the previous version as well. Why does Windows have this service listed as "Automatic (Delayed Start)" by default? I changed it to just "Automatic" and it boots up to the green check-arrow instantly, as opposed to saying its not running for several seconds. Any reason I should leave it to Delayed Start? |

I have no idea, I've always scratched my head at that delayed start thing. |

Gotcha, oh, it might just be me being blind, but where can I find the changes for this specific update?

Intel, give release notes? Surely you jest! That's a hard thing to come by for most any drivers, Intel is no exception. I did come across this in one of the beta driver releases though: uploads/2246/ReleaseNotes.zip |

Thanks for the link |

If something is on delayed start, its because it needs to run after some other services or it could create conflict with some other services, tho you don't see it problem now, you could see one down the road, it depends on drivers and services each person has running on their pc, or it could run just fine and you could never have any problems whatsoever.

You mean compared to RST 9.6? Mostly just small gains across the board, though most notably small 4k read speeds are up from 22MB/s to 26-27MB/s, that extra cache seems to help those the most. |
