Hi, does anyone know of any SSD optimization that needs to take place in Vista? Intel says that sustained read speeds should be around 250mb/s for the 160GB 55(nm) SSD...however, using HD Tune, I am only getting sustained read speeds of 175mb/s. I just updated the last firmware and ran the HD Tune test...what else should I do, as those speeds are a lot lower then I expected? Thanks for your help in advance.

I think this has something to do with intel's decision to not to support TRIM on 1st gen ssds, basically your drive is getting more fragmented with daily usage and therefore its taking longer for the drive controller to read the necessary data. Short of doing a full reformat there is no other way that I know of to increase your read speeds.

So what do you think would cause that Justin, did you configure your SSD with Vista or Win 7 when you got your machine?

mine are all setup in RAID's that is why most no one can touch my speeds, and why I have a couple world records in that department. lol Is yours Gen 1 or Gen 2?
