So with all the heating problem's all the new intel cpu's are having *according to most thermal tests online* i was thinking about amd for my next build. My question is how much worse performance wise is amd vs intel?

Well first lets start with
What heating problems? my cpu is running a cool 4.5ghz and I have X line that is suppose to be a pain. the 8700k is cool as a cucumber. Honestly don't see a problem or a reason to move to amd, so someone doesn't understand what they are doing, what does that have to do with us? Are you planing on extreme oc under load 24/7? |

I am just going by what i read it seems everyone is freaking out about the heating issue's unless you delid the things. which is why i came here to ask since i trust the opinions on this site. And i was just curious on what you guy's thought about it. And no i don't overclock at all.

If you don't oc then temps don't even come into calculations.
If you look around this forums with actual users with oc, no one is complaining. The issue you are talking about is related to high /extreme oc. For those of us that like to push the system, or benchmark that is an issue. But we can always do it ourselves if needed. Hope that helps Edited by DST4ME - 13 Dec 2017 at 12:17am |
