Intel working on Nehalem Skulltrail
Skulltrail is still the fastest PC for rendering and video editing and we've heard it's even selling well with Red digital HD cameras, as it’s the only PC which can give enough encoding power to this semi-professional HD film camera. Intel already said that this year's Skulltrail is not the last one and that you can expect one based on Nehalem. Of course, we are talking about insane two sockets and sixteen threads from two Xeon-based Nehalem EX CPUs. We don’t know when this crazy PC will be ready, but you can count on the fact that it will be the fastest and probably the most expensive thing around. Most of the today’s applications won’t be able to cope with such a raw power, but you will at least know that your PC is the fastest one on the block. I beg the differ, aside from folding, this thing has got HD video and 3D graphic design, virtual servers written all over it. Edited by DST4ME - 06 Oct 2008 at 12:50am |

I had the same problem but I quickly figured it out, if its not out by Dec, not to wait was the answer for me.
I have already been waiting a year for nehalem. |
