I was using a logitech wireless Mk700 keyboard and mouse on my old Dell and installed them on my new DS computer a little over a year ago. Immediately I had a problem with it disconnecting intermittently. As it the keyboard was less than a year old and on warrenty I traded it in for a new one. Same problem. So I upgraded to the next model and same problem. That's 3 different keyboards with the same problem on this computer. And it had worked fine on my old dell. I've been living with it and it's a pain. I will be typing or playing a game and all of a sudden it's gone. It will return in any where from 20 or 30 seconds to a minute.
Anyone have any ideas about the solution. Do I need to use a wired keyboard with this rig? Could there be something wrong with the usb? I've tried connecting it to both usb 2 and 3 with the same result, although it seems a little better on the usb 3. But that's subjective and I'm really not sure of it. My configuration: I have a black ops assassin Intel Core i7 950 3.06GHz (Quad Core) Motherboard: ASUS Sabertooth X58 (Intel X58 Chipset) (Features USB 3.0 and SATA 6Gb/s) System Memory: 12GB DDR3 1600MHz Digital Storm Certified (Highly Recommended) (Hand Tested) Power Supply: 750W Corsair TX (Dual SLI Compatible) Hard Drive Set 1: Operating System: 1x (160GB Solid State (By: Intel) (Model: X25-M MLC Edition) Hard Drive Set 2: Multimedia\Data: 1x (1TB Western Digital Caviar (7200 RPM) (64MB Cache) (Model: Black Edition WD1002FAEX) Hard Drive Set 3: Backup\Misc.: 1x (1TB Western Digital Caviar (7200 RPM) (64MB Cache) (Model: Black Edition WD1002FAEX) Optical Drive 1: Blu-Ray Writer/Reader (Burn and Play Blu-Ray Discs) Optical Drive 2: DVD-R/RW/CD-R/RW (DVD Writer 24x / CD-Writer 48x) Internet Access: High Speed Network Port (Supports High-Speed Cable / DSL / Network Connections) Video Card(s): 1x NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580 1.5GB (Includes PhysX Technology) Extreme Cooling: AIR: Stage 2: Noctua NH-D14 Extreme Performance (Does NOT fit on the regular EVGA X58 3X SLI) Thanks for any help.
