Hey
I was looking around the forums for international shipping and i didn't come across much, but i did see that Alex the admin said that in order for digital storm to ship a computer outside America you would have to sign some sort of contract thing and purchase a wooden crate but when i went to purchase a computer my only country options are USA or Canada so i was just wondering how i would go about getting a computer shipped to Australia? is there a certain area on the website? what costs am i looking at? and are shipping discounts included?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks Ouch

I believe that someone else posted a similar question about shipping to someplace other than the US or Canada...I'll see if I can find it and post a link to it...in the meantime have you tried calling them direct or e-mailing them? They are a busy company and sometimes it takes a while.

Perth....great town...the last time I was there was when I was on deployment  with the US Marines to Southeast Asia...It seemed like all of Perth was there to greet us when our carrier pulled in...great people...great town...gets kind of tranquil on Sundays though...lol.

Oh yeah true cant believe emailing them slipped my mind I'll do that now. Yeah man Perth is alright but its too quiet and there isn't much to do, id like to move to the us someday. then i wont have to pay for wooden crates and shipping costs Wink

People on these forums are always helping out. They helped me out a lot when I had no idea on what would suit my needs. I was way behind on the technology and they got me up to speed and hooked me up with a great machine...so just doing my part to keep the tradition going.
Like I said I have no idea about international shipping...but we'll get you an answer one way or the other.

I think most of DS's customers are from the US so they wouldn't know much about international shipping,

I for one am in Europe, so I wouldn't no much about shipping to Australia either, though I did do a fair bit of research on shipping to the UK since I may, buy a DS rig myself, but I'm a bit wary since finding out how much for shipping/insurance/taxes I will have to pay.

OK Jason...just got off the phone with Sarah...DS does ship to Australia! Discount offers on systems apply...however because of distance involved there are charges for shipping and insurance...plus certain provisions they have to comply with concerning customs etc.
Once an order is received they supply you with all pertinent information and more detail.
In either case I would still e-mail Sarah and ask her specifically as to how much the charges would be.
