Hey guys,

I am new here and I join for the sole reason to clarify a slight confusion I experienced.

So recently I have started encountering a tons of problems with my grid. My tabs loading time is much slower, whenever I play an online game I get a high ping, at first I figured to restart my router , the typical "unplug from the socket, let it sit for a few minutes then plug it back in type" of thing. But even after that I was still getting high pings. Furthermore, I decided to call my local internet service provider and they told me they see no problem.

As they said, they claim to do well in this sort of area. Later that day I acquired it and it had tons of options like "optimize network" fix this and that and I tinkered with it for a good hour. Slept on it and in the working I was having no issues that I had in the previous couple of days.

Could It be that it helped, did my ISP fix my problem or something fixed on its own? I am slightly confused since I am skeptical . But I would like to know if anyone had the similar problem or if anyone has tried this software out?

Cheers,

I have never tried any of those programs, but I wonder if your OS was downloading a large update at the time. that can/will mess with your internet speed. Or maybe something else is downloading.

Never had to do anything but use a good Asus router to get good network pings and speeds.
If you are paying for a specific speed and you are not getting it, call you ISP and make them fix it.

You can use Speedtest to verify your ping, dl and ul speeds.

I believe your OS or your Anti-virus must have been downloading large updates.
That can mess with the internet speed.

Check the network icon (or wireless connection settings) to see if you have Internet access. ...
Check for changes to proxy settings.
Check the network cables if your computer is wired to the router.
Reset your router.
Check your firewall or security software.

hope this helps you!
