Just figured I'd post a little info about myself..  My name's Luke, 22 years old.  I work for my dad as a systems analyst and also take care of most of the tech support.  I write music, movie scripts, and I also game in my spare time.  You can listen to a lot of my music at http://www.soundclick.com/djcrasht and http://www.soundclick.com/filmmusic.

Keep an eye out, cause you might see my name on the big screen soon!  Wink

Did you compose that yourself?  Not bad at all, in fact rather good.  Sounds like you know where you want to go and how to get there.  Good Luck.

Glad you like it!  Yeah, actually, I've won a few awards in international songwriting competitions.  Still working to nab that top spot, though.

Part of the reason I needed a new machine was because my orchestral stuff was killing my Dell.  I configured my Twister Ultra with a 1 TB secondary array just to be able to store all of my instruments.

This is really good!
I've been writing EBM/Synthpop, Industrial and Elektro for about 10 years now.  I started with using hardware (Ensoniq, Yamaha, etc) but now use nothing but soft synths.  What do you use?

FL Studio 7 Producer Edition, with Sytrus, Toxic, and PoiZone soft synths mainly.  I've done some sampling, but it was kind of hit and miss for me.  I never really got into it.  I have a Yamaha Motif ES8..  really need to get it into some tracks.

I've only been doing it for about four or five years.  I kind of stumbled into it when I was starting to do orchestral pieces.  LOL

Nice.  The Motif is a very versatile piece of hardware.  Very impressive.  Right now, the only hardware I actually have is the Nord Lead 1 and 3, and the Access Virus rack 5.

Have you got a pro audio card?  I've only been using a Tascam US-122 on my desktop and an Echo Indigo for my laptop.  The Tascam has been pretty much all I've needed so far, plus it has phantom powered XLR hookups.  If I ever get really serious about recording though, I'd love one of those mixing boards with motorized faders.

I am begininng to think that we have a very talented core of forums members at an early stage.  I went back and listened to the music again and my kids liked it too.

Hey thanks.  :)  I'm getting closer to releasing a new track called "A Longing to Live", which is probably what you'd call epic trance.  I'm not exactly an expert on genres, so I might be wrong.  Maybe I'll post an unfinished version just so you guys can listen.

Maybe the reason why we have so many talented members is because of the kind of people who buy from Digital Storm?  Cool
