For gaming and light to medium editing, animations, etc., 32Gb is plenty.    Even 16GB for just gaming is plenty but some games, especially flight sims, do suggest but not require 32GB.

That’s my predicament ... I can upgrade to 64 or keep it at 32 ... don’t know what I should do

If you're a gamer, then 16GB will do. Anymore is only spent on the (RGB) look. Fact.

Depends if you want to waste your money, or not.  Big%20Smile  It's your money and we all buy things like cell phones, cars, etc that we spend more than we have to because its a feel good thing, bragging rights or just because you can.  You won't use the extra ram, so up to you.

I agree with the above consensus on this one. For most gaming purposes 16GB is plenty (I play flight sims and haven't had the need to go beyond that). Also my friend who does intensive modeling and rendering professionally does just fine with 32GB and hasn't maxed it out. That said, if the extra ram has a personal-value added aspect to it that's worth it to you personally, then well you are the master of your own wallet. Big%20Smile But from a purely technical perspective you don't need the 64GB - or arguably even the 32GB.

The average person who buys form DS: 32 and 64 and anything above is 100% a waste of money. You will never, ever, EVER use that much ram.

RGB sells computers, that's why they put RGB on ram. So it would sell. And it's working.

Agree.... I suspect that 32 GB is enough over the top for you Demon.
64 GB would just be for window dressing and showing off....

64 GB of Ram is only good in a system if you first have 128 GB, then add 64GB more. When you do this you will rank up to 1st place in any game.

RAM speeds and FPS go hand in hand. If your FPS is low that means you need more Ram. If your RAM is low that means you need more FPS. Understand?

You don't? Neither do I when people light money on fire just because it has pretty blinking lights!

I voted 16 as gaming is all I do.

I also removed the redundant thread in the other forum.

So just have DS put in a 2 X 16 GB RAM kit....start with 32 GB.
That leaves you with 2 open slots on the motherboard.
You can add 2 more 16’s yourself if you just have to have more...lol.   Done...

Wasting my is normal you're human. Think of the nice upgrades you could have done with that 500. Better cooling, fans more SSD. Better monitor/keyboard and so on.
