I'm planning on buying a new comp here, I had figured a 40GB SSD in to my config as well as a 500 GB HDD secondary HD, but I was just wondering if the 40 GB primary will practically be enough space for OS (Win7 64x) plus other programs like Photoshop, MS Office, and one or two games, and is it worth the extra $127 to go up to the 80GB SSD?

You would be cutting it close.
However if you have just that stuff on it you should be fine. |

With all the apps you want to use and photo editing and etc, I think 80GB is a better choice for you.

i have:
Win764
photoshop
sony vegas
dreamweaver
sc2(9.15 GB)
of course all drivers, codecs, players, etc
comes to a total of around 30 gb used.
granted, ssd space is nice to have... but $127 for another 40gb is pretty steep
if you can afford the 80 and get everything else you need, go for it. but dont lose and sleep if you cant fit it in the budget

80GB is a recommended size at the very least.
