Download evga precision and overclock the cards, this should help a bit.
Just go in small increments when you overclock, if you get a blue screen don't panic just reboot and reduce the clocks until the oc is stable. 2x295's would actually be a substantial upgrade since its a quad raid and your running standard sli. You might try to find some stats on 275 tri sli and see if it would be worth it before you pull the trigger on 2x295s. Just my 2cents, good luck! ![]() |

classified is better and 3 x 275 will be your best bet also IMO. what resolution does that 40" run?

What exactly is running hot? If its the cards its probably because the fan is set to auto and its not keeping the gpus as cool as possible. Evga precision allows you to control the fan speed with an easy to use slider bar.
You should give oc'ing a go and once you start ocing you will become obessed with getting the best performance out of your components. DL HwMonitor so you can monitor your temps though, if its to hot then you can always just set them back to default and your good to go. Rampage board is pretty nice, however If the classified was available when I built my system I would of went with it instead. Edited by Dsnewb210 - 11 Jul 2009 at 5:24pm |
