Hello,

This is my current rig

  • Case: Cooler Master CM Storm Sniper
  • Processor: i7930 2.8 ghz (quad core)
  • Motherboard: EVGA X58 LE Edition SLI (Intel X58 Chipset) (Supports SLI or CrossFire)
  • 6 gb ram DDR 3 1600 MHZ Digigtal Storm certified
  • 1000w Corsair  Power supply (Dual/tri/quad SLI compatible)
  • Vid card : 1x ATI Radeon HD 5870 1 GB (Back then I was going to get the 470, but i think everyone including DST4Me told me to get this card instead)
  • Cooling: Stage 2: Noctua NH-D14 Extreme Performance
  • Overclocked to between 3.3 to 3.90
  • 500 gb  western digital regular hard drive
  • OCZ SSD Vertex 3 VTX3-25SAT3-120G 2.5" 120GB SATA III MLC
  • blue ray + dvd player , nothing extraordinary.
  • win 7 64 bit

GIven all that, I load up starcraft 2 and here's what i got: Is it bad?

As long as load temps are under 85c you are good.

those are some good temps IMHO.

but, you are running games and looking at cpu temps, run HWMonitor and look at your gpu temps since playing games most times will stress the gpus and not cpu much.

Hi,

So to reply:

My room is somewhat hot, but i can't say how hot it is (as in degree), but it's fairly warm....if you sit there and start gaming you WILL sweat.

@ DST4ME

So here are the screens from HWmon:

This is before i load any games:

And here is when I have sc2 running

What are you all on about? You're barely even hitting 70°C with a 930 at 3.9GHz in a hot room. Your temps are flippin great, stop freaking out, it isn't even remotely close to running hot. Geeze.
