I usually do not worry too much about shipment, but it's holiday now. Companies like UPS has to be extremely busy, so problems might happen. Will the package be strong enough to survive from any (most) possible damage during shipment?

The box and the way it's packed inside are excellent.    For the vast majority of shipments, it's no problem.    Mine, with a heavy ODE, shipped across the country to Connecticut and arrived in perfect condition.

No guarantees, however.   If someone drops it off the back of the truck, there isn't anything that prevents the insides from shifted quickly.   There is packing material inside the case to help cushion it.    DS stands behind the product and will, if the unforgunate happens, take care of it with no cost to you.

Good luck. Big%20Smile

It is not a package.

It is a packaging system.  The computer is suspended inside an outer box so slight dings on the outside do not come anywhere near the computer.  The insides of the computer are protected with packing materials so that the insides do not move around, i.e. your cards do not come loose nor will your Noctua air-cooled CPU.  The plastic wrapping acts somewhat as a "cushion" but really minimizes vibration transmitted from the outside box to the computer inside.

I was mighty impressed with the packaging.  So was my little dog, who played with the empties all afternoon.

I got mine right before Christmas. So it was bouncing around in FedEx trucks for about 5 days during the holiday rush. Not a scratch on it and it booted up right out of the box. Very nice packaging.
