You can call and ask for changes to your order anytime before the rig is built without affecting things very much. Call them.

@PcKiller
Did you end up calling? What was the word? I got the 4070 and was wondering the same. I ended up sending an customer service note but haven't got a response yet. |

Sorry for not posting this right away.
I did call, and was told that it would cost me. 1. $82.00 dollars for the price difference. understandable. 2. a restocking fee of 15 % of the 4080 cost. That is about $200.00 dollars. That is to just take the reg 4080 out of the bin and put the Super in the build bin. This I thought was ridiculous. 3 Plus $60 dollars for a rebuild fee. And my PC was not even being built yet Then they told me that waiting for the Super 4080 would push my getting the PC out really far, as the card is not even out yet. Decided to keep the reg 4080 card. It was not worth all that expense to get and wait even longer for the PC. To top that all off, was told my PC would be in stage 3 till Friday of next week. (Feb 2nd 2024) Then that it would be shipping out to me 3 to 5 business days after that. Now I ordered my PC on January 9th 2024, and it stated that it would ship in 10 to 15 business days. That would be on Jan. 30th 2024. Edited by PcKiller - 28 Jan 2024 at 7:42am |

Thanks, that's all really good to know.
I won't be doing the switch either in that case, seems silly to pay a restocking and rebuilding fee for something that hasn't even started to be built (after already waiting longer than anticipated, but obviously would rather take longer and done right). |

The response you cite runs counter to our user understanding for (in my case) almost 14 years. I encourage you to send an e-mail to [email protected] to be sure you have correct information. He is the director of customer service.
