My V4L3 just got here about an hour ago and I'm so excited to get this guy running! One thing though. I opened the case and the graphics card looks a bit crooked, kind of jammed in there.
It's sturdily put in there, just looks a bit...off? Is this a bad thing or am I just being paranoid with my new machine? I hope it's the latter. Sorry if this is a stupid question. Just want everything to work fine.

it does look pretty crooked.....not sure what's happening here. If you look at the connector between the mobo and the video card do you see any kind of strain? for it to be this crooked something must be give to make that bend, where is it?

Agreed. Looks like the rear, left in the pic, heat sink is bent down. Could be just the heat vapor pipes bent from a heavy jolt. It's always tough to go by a picture, but it might just need you pushing it up from the bottom. Heat/vapor tubing is flexible to a degree. Fan is right there also and hopefully no damage.
Or, call DS or email them the picture. |

Thanks for the quick reply darbebo, The mobo connection looks good, no extreme strain that I can see. I didn't want to dig around too much in there though.
It looks to me like where the the card is screwed into the case on the left is a little low, making the whole thing sort of bend down on the left side from the mobo connection. Like if I could move the motherboard down a quarter of an inch the right side of the GC would move down and it would be fine. Everything seems to be intact though. Maybe I'll just leave it. It doesn't look like there's much in the way of adjustment. |

Thanks bprat. The pipes look unbent and the that left fan rotates correctly. I think I'll just leave it be. Been waiting so long! |

Nevermind guys I got it! Those plastic port protectors on the GC were in there a little wonky and were pushing that left side down a bit. Just removed them.
Thanks for the help though. I'm setting this thing up! |
