i just bought a 500gig external hd and the question i have is this...
i have itunes installed on my c drives with about 5gig of music under my music..can i just copy all the music to the external drive..including the itune program. and then delect all the music on my c drive....
i want no music on my c drive.

or will it mess itunes up...

You'll have to tell iTunes where the songs are... it was a pain in the ass for me when I moved my music, don't know how easy it is now with version 8.
The only thing that keeps me wishing on a wishing star.

Yes, you can do that. Make sure to check itunes preferences/options and also change the path to where your music is now located.

ok...so leave itune on the c drive and only move the music.. right

and after the transfer i can just delete the c drive music.. i just want to make sure. lol i have a lot of music

1. move the music.

2. get itune to recognize your music files in their new location.

3. once you are sure that itune has recognized all your files at the new location, then delete your old files from c drive
