Looks like the Ivy Bridge E CPU is not going to be released until 3rd quarter of 2013 according to this article:

I just can't believe that they pushed it past Haswell! The Ivy Bridge E release date is only a few months from when Haswell E should have come out.

I don't know where you got that information ivy bridge e is set to release right after haswell, which the first generation of haswell will be mainly consumer oriented not for enthusiastes. Plus I have a hard time sticking to the intel roadmap for product releases.

There's no reason why you should have to wait if you have 2011 socket all you would need to do would be add the new cpu when its released. Really no sense in upgrading the mobo if you already have the rampage iv extreme |

Thanks for posting that link Asangard. I see that Sandy Bridge disappears the 1st quarter of 2013. I hate to see the 2600K go away. What we need is an Ivy Bridge E 2600K.

Yeah that's the reason why I got that mobo just wanted the best of the best since I spent $6,400 on my PC .
