Hello DS community,
I'm looking to buy a new computer and I know this is the place to do it. My buddy purchased a PC about a year ago and loves it. I currently am in need of a new comp and have a budget very close to $2,300 including shipping. I'm pretty much going to be using it for gaming; mainly BF3, and very mild video editing. i have a 23" monitor and plan on gaming at 1920 x 1080. Don't have the money right now, but i will eventually SLI and install another GTX 570 when I hit the Lotto. We'll I just wanted to know if there is anything I should tweak or if there are any new upgrades coming out that should make me delay my purchase. change your cooling to a70 or noctua for best performance and less noise.
ask for vcore of 1.4 or lower with stage 2 oc. drop the os tweak it makes no difference in anything. Don't forget that the haf x fits another 200mm fan on top, for some reason CM no longer offers the non led ones, so either grab a red led one and add it yourself or ask DS to put one on top for you, so that you endup with the best airflow case can do, here is the fan you want, you need to specifically ask for this fan to be added: 200mm red led fan |

Thanks a lot for the advice,
my other question is would it be better to install a 120GB hard drive into HHD1 and move the 1TB card to HHD2 for storage. I know the HHD1 is supposed to be for the small faster hard drives that are more for games and the OS. I just don't know how how necessary it is and how it would effect my gaming and computer peformance |

when you say 120GB "hard drive" you mean ssd right? cause ssd is not a "hard drive" its a "solid state drive".
if you mean ssd then ssd balances out the power of the system, otherwise you have bottlenecks and etc, I assumed you were gonna add a ssd later yourself as hdd 1 and push the 1TB to hdd2. |

Yeah sorry, I meant the ssd. No didn't plan on adding cause I didn't really know how much it effecte the PC, but if it is going to slow down the PC, I'll make sure to add a 120gb ssd to hdd1

Ya and remember all ssds are not the same, so when you are ready to add one come back and ask us which to add.
