So I just finished buying my first build from here, before this I ended up buying a custom pc from some guy on eBay (and oh boy did I regret it).
It was a $2500 PC that came with a Ryzen 3950X CPU, liquid cooling, etc, etc... I was initially gonna go with digital storm, but ended up going with the eBay guy because he had a better deal and shipped faster. Once I got the pc though I instantly regretted my decision, the CPU had overheating problems and was hitting 94C temps. The cooling wasnt doing its job and I was forced to open a case against him. Now I have to go through the hassle of returning this thing when instead I could of just as easily gone with digital storm. I can only hope that my experience ends up being better here. Only thing I wish was that digital storm still had priority build available, I would of gladly paid a premium to have it delivered faster. But I understand that COVID-19 has messed alot of things up, so I will wait patiently for now. Just wanted to share my two cents. Thanks. Edited by Jim_Rustles69 - 15 Jul 2020 at 3:51pm |

Unfortunate you had to experience all that through eBay, but hopefully PayPal/eBay will have your back as usually they have really good Buyer Protection.
As for Digital Storm, I wish they had Priority Build as well, but my stages went by pretty quickly. I was told over email from Alex that currently the QA is backlogged. So, I'm currently stuck on Stage 5 :) hopefully will move across quickly by next week. Once you get past Stage 1-2, it moves along relatively quick. On the other hand, I'm still kind of confused if they still use UPS to ship their PCs because I've been seeing people get it from UPS rather than FedEx. Last time I called a rep said they had switched to using FedEx because of a lot of the past issues with UPS shipping. I really hope I don't get UPS, they're pretty bad around here. A little "Insider knowledge" if you'll allow me to derail this thread for a moment. UPS/FedEx/USPS are all intertwined now. It is not uncommon for a package to visit all 3 companies from the shipper to you. It's a symbiotic relationship.. FedEx flies fast, UPS moves the freight, and USPS takes care of the places they don't want to go (or can't get to). Just something to think about.

Just a note - we did change to FedEx recently. Some packages may still go via UPS but 99% are FEDEX now.
