The only glaring problem is that you've only ordered one hard drive so you can't request a RAID array.

The power supply is probably on the small side for an overclocked system with a 8800 GTX video card

Gah, you're totally right; RAID 0 should not be selected.  How much power do you think will be necessary?  The 850W Thermaltake should be enough I imagine, as it is listed as '8800 GTX SLI Compatible'.

Kenny/Alex, any advice here?  Also, if I need to make the changes (such as to the 850W), is there anything in particular I need to do, or is informing you guys here enough?  Thanks!

if you're going to add a 2nd GTX later check that site out for a proper PSU.

Yeah, drop the Raid selection since you do not have a second hard drive.

If you are going to stick with only one GTX the entire time, you can keep your selection, Corsair's power supplies are excellent (made by SilverStone if I can recall), and they can handle the load. If you are planning to upgrade to a second card, go with a 850W power supply.
If you have the budget, I recommend going with the 850W to be on the safe side.

Everything else looks good!

Raid selection was up because I was playing around with the settings at first; I forgot to delete it.

I might or might not get a second card, but like you said, to be on the safe side, I should probably go with the 850W.

What's the process for changing orders?  I had already placed the order via the website, with credit card info and everything.  Will you take care of it for me (and correspondingly just slap a higher than original estimation), or should I resubmit the config for purchase, or what?

Give them a call in the morning. That's what I did, and it was definitely a painless (atleast for me :P) process.

I would love to call you right now and do it for you, *I am still in the building* but the machines used to do this stuff are off.

Get the 850 Thermaltake.  When NVidia releases the next set of Graphic Cards you will be able to pick up another 8800 at a good price point and set up a SLI config.  I have used ThermalTake in all of my rigs with great success.

Alex,  quick question here... When you purchase a 850w power supply.. Does that mean that it is 850w capable but only draws as much power as is needed by the system or does it mean it is always operating at 850w...  I leave my machine on quite a bit and dont wanna get smacked with a high energy bill.

Tummy, it will only use as much power as it needs.

I'm beginning to reconsider Vista Basic...the Aero glass effects look pretty darn cool, and it's only an extra 33 bucks.

I'm a bit concerned, though, as I hear it is more taxing on the system.  Granted, I have (I think) a pretty darn good system, but anything that detracts too heavily from resources that could be devoted to gameplay isn't good.

What do you guys think?

Aero isn't available under Vista Home Basic.

I think Vista Home Basic is a steaming turd.... Well, you asked.

Check out the following M$ link for a Vista version feature comparison:

Right, I know it's not available, that's why I'm considering upgrading to Premium.  Did I forget to mention that?  Oops!

I've read Microsoft's feature comparison, but I'm primarily interested more from a 'how much of a systems/video card hog' standpoint :)

Sorry, I misunderstood what you wrote. I thought you were considering switching to Vista Basic.  Anyway....

My uneducated guess is that when you're playing bleeding edge games in full screen mode, the Vista GUI has pretty much unloaded and given up all its video RAM. When you're not playing full screen games, it's actually kind of nice that Aero gives your expensive hotrod video card something to do.
