Hi all, just placed my order with DSO.  I'd read a lot of positive reviews, which were really instumental in me eventually going with this company.  Anyway, I'm not into games (other than the Xbox) so I was looking to replace my 7 (yes, 7!) year old P4 Gateway with a new rig that would be used as our central home network PC, a general purpose (Office, surfing, multimedia management) PC, and a powerhouse for my digital graphics (Corel Draw, Photopaint, Adobe) hobbies, as well as a base for our new interest in digital video editing.  Not being the experienced builder that some of you are, I'm afraid I may have overresearched, and wound up overwhelmed with choices.  I ended up basically going with whatever was recommended to me by a couple folks at DSO.

So, do you see any glaring errors in the choices below?  I'm not a total noob, and I have done all of my own repairs/upgrades over the years, so I was hoping to put together a economical, powerful system with some long-term components, with the ability to add-on upgrade when necessary.  Your thoughts are welcome - Thanks!

That will be a solid system.

Though I personally would of went the 20 bucks more and got the 9600GT superclocked edition. The difference between the 8600 and 9600 will definally be noticable. Unlike the 8800s to the 9800s

Indeed, the 9600gt butts right up against the 8800gt in every test scenario i saw, and there was one test with the 8800gtx vs 9600 Superclocks in SLI that showed the 9600s as having very comparable performance. Better framerates that the 88 in Crysis and with only one setting difference.
