Hi guys,

I have windows vista home premium 64 bit. After installing all the new updates today 02/12/2008 the "KB937287" failed. I rebooted my computer, and the same update was up again. I have installed it again, and now the only difference is that it was successfully installed, but unfortunately every time I go check for new updates, the KB937287 keeps showing over and over. If I install it and reboot, I have it several time showing as successful, still it keeps showing always.

Give Microsoft a few days to get the update figured out, then update again. Try a cold boot as well, never know if that'll be the trick.

I went ahead and looked up KB937287.  Looks like alot of people have this problem, and it may have something to do with Vista SP1?  I dunno, I still use XP :D.

From what I have read, you should re-install the update manually.

1. Simply download the update from Microsoft.
2. Run the file.
3. ???
4. Profit!

Here's a link to update KB937287.

I just ran all of those updates too and the same one failed for me as well. So don't worry about it.

This fixed it for me:
1. Download the update. To do this, follow these steps:
a. Visit the Microsoft Download Web site:http://www.microsoft.com/downloads
b. In the Search for a download box, type the number of the Knowledge Base article that describes the update "KB937287", and then click Go.
c. Download the update, and then save it to the desktop.

2. Install the update. To do this, follow these steps:
a. Double-click the downloaded file to install it.
If you are prompted to restart the computer, do so.
b. Visit the Windows Update or Microsoft Update Web site to verify whether  the update is offered again.
