just dl kombuster doin some oc'n to my 570's, would love to know the proper settings and config for kombuster srry im a noob
when im oc'n in sli i dont need to do 1 card at a time do i? and if so how would i go about doin tht? right now my core clock and shader clock are linked, so if i up one they both go up..is tht ok or should i leave one alone? i went from coreclock-732 stock, to 745 & shaderclock from 1464 stock, to 1490. all seems well been gamin all day w/ it was unable to run kombuster to test em cuz idk if i have the settings wrong seems to only test one of my cards any help on this topic would b greatly appreciated

update, oc the 570's to 797 cc, 1594 sc & 1950 mem clock. wich is what the superclocked edition is for these cards. ran furmark for about an hour (wich i know isnt long enough) temps where at a stable 65 touched 69 for a lil bit, didnt see ne artifacting but the donut wasnt fluid 100% i mean it wasnt bad but not fluid if i toggled the donut off it was like cake. prolly is my rez had to do a custom rez for furmark cuz my native rez wasnt there (2560x1440) anyways im gonna do some game benchmarks hopefully this is stable i would b happy as a pig in ..

ya seems to b fine, i thought oc gpu's was goin to b complicating, but really was pretty simple. guess we will have to wait and see if this is 100% stable. rly tryin to mess around w/ kombuster cant seem to figure out the settings i need for testing in sli, but i dl furmark so tht should b good enough.

the 570's dont have the same power set up as the 580 is much more fragile to overclocking. |

I use fah to stress test my pcs, I find it to stress everything to the max.
follow my fah guide here are you looking at the right side of the screen with kombustor? it should be doing all gpus. Edited by DST4ME - 21 Aug 2011 at 1:30am |

ya the right side it shows one gettin hot, the top one, but the bottom one is idle at say 41c, while the top is gettin hot and turnin red the bottom isnt. idk i looked it up online sayin somethin about a nvidia profile needs to b set..looked kinda complicated so i just kinda gave up on kombuster, fah is folding right..ya never got into tht might have to check it out thnx. i dl the free version of 3dmark 11, can only run it tho in a low res bc of the free version i guess, says my score should b higher..idk prolly should take tht w/ a grain of salt im thinkin...

Not for normal SLI you don't. Just SLI bridge between the GPUs and DVI cable from the primary GPU to the monitor(s). Not sure why F@H would need two cables? |

in fah you need to disable sli and make the pc think it has 2 monitors, but run the fah tacker first and see if both gpus are folding, if they are don't worry about the second dvi cable/connection and etc.
the smp will max your cpu like nothing else, and the gpus will max your gpus like nothing else, I find it to be the best test IMHO. Edited by DST4ME - 22 Aug 2011 at 4:22pm |
