I'm going to be starting school soon and I have been wanting a high performance desktop and laptop. I wanted to ask about the xm11 which I like just because its small and i can bring it around without too much weight but Im not going to be doing any massive gaming on it. Im curious about the size though and it heating up quickly if i put too much memory on it.

I'm also looking for a desktop that i can broadcast games I'm playing on either the computer or the xbox and playstation without too much trouble. I would like to be able to run more then one game or multiple programs at the same time as well without affecting the performance of the computer to much.

I have about 3-4 grand to spend and have customized a couple of computers myself but i wanted the community's opinion on what would be the best system.

Honestly, the xm11 level 2 or 3 with a larger hard drive (either SSD or HDD), and an ODE level 4 would be under $4,000 combined, and they would likely both offer good gaming performance. If you wanted better laptop performance, even the lowest level x15E would offer much better performance, although combined with the ODE, it might be about $4,100, which is slightly over your budget, and the x15E would also weigh a lot more.

Yep, the ODE 4 is a best bang for ya buck rig.    It's close to the best in gaming performance without spending alot more for a tri-sli setup, 3x graphic cards.
