Hello,

I'm looking at upgrading my 6yr old Alienware laptop.  Where I currently work I can bring my laptop in and I'm looking for something that will be able to play Fable3, Fallout New Vegas, and WoW specifically.  And to watch movies on.  But I also want one that will still be good in a few years.

Here is the setup I'm currently looking at:

Chassis: Digital Storm x15 8690T-8 (Weight: 7.38 LBS)
Display: 15.6 inch HD+ LED Display with Enhanced Super Glossy Surface (Resolution: 1920 x 1080)
Processor: Intel Core i7-740QM 1.73GHz (6MB Cache) (Quad Core)
System Memory: 6GB DDR3 at 1333MHz (Extreme-Performance) (NOTE: Requires i7-720QM or Higher Processor)
Inputs: Gigabit Ethernet LAN / Card Reader / eSATA
Main Storage: 1x (80GB Solid State (By: Intel) (Model: X25-M MLC Edition) (Extreme Performance)
Optical Drive: 6x Blu-Ray Reader Multi-Drive (Writes DVDs & CDs, Reads Blu-Ray, DVDs, CDs)
Wireless Access: 802.11 A/B/G/N Wireless LAN Module
Features: Integrated Video Camera / Bluetooth
Outputs: HDMI 1080P / DVI Port / SPDIF Audio / Headphone / Microphone
Video Card(s): NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460M 1.5GB
Windows OS: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium (64-Bit Edition)

I
nstall/Test Game: FREE: Hot-selling game with a NVIDIA GeForce GTS 250 or above graphics card

Don't know if you plan on installing a second drive (or if the chassis is capable of having a second) but you should probably consider it considering I think WoW alone is something like 15gigs or so. On an 80gig SSD that's fairly hefty, now factor in OS other apps and other games...you get the point.

Oops
Dohhh!   Forgot to mention I have an external for the games and everything else...

My current laptop has a 40gb HD and WoW stopped fitting on it on this last patch.  So it is already on a 1tb external.

That's not very portable! Wow How is your performance doing that?

To be honest I haven't used it that way yet, but my wife said it worked fine.  I'm overseas atm...  As for portability, I just have to carry it back and forth from work everyday.  I have a nince backpack for that.
