Laptop Harker display question

Hi all have a question about my Harker being built and what other laptop users are doing with monitors out. With my outdated current laptop I use, I run out to an Asus 1080P, 1ms, 80,000,000:1 High Defintion, 24" display. However, I do not mirror I disable my laptop screen by using output 2 (my HDMI to monitor).

My question is with the Harker and its superior display, am I better off mirroring displays or doing as I am now? Or is the Harker display simply better by a long shot that its not worth using my display?

I know I can figure this out easily when it gets here but I wanted to pick some brains and see if I need to even upgrade my display.

Okay my understanding of G-Sync renders my current display useless. I would actually need to upgrade to a G-Sync monitor to gain the benefits of my laptop display.
