So I'm thinking about buying a X17 Laptop, but can only fit the standard dvd/cd drive in my budget. I've thought about this and looked around but I couldn't find a definitive answer. So, once I've bought my laptop with the normal optical drive will I be able to buy another drive (ex. blu-ray combo, like the one they offer) and replace the current one that is in the laptop?

If i can replace it, could someone tell me which blu-ray writer DS uses or if you could tell me a drive which can fit into the laptop. Thanks!

You can order it through Digital Storm or buy it off the Sager website. If you buy an OEM laptop blu-ray drive like on Amazon, the cover will not match your laptop's side cover.

You can definitely replace the drive with a better model in the future. You can also contact us directly for the part as well.
