Laptop questions that maybe can get answered?

So first off, I've heard that I will always be chasing the new technology and understand that, but there's a few questions I'd like people to speculate/answer.

1) Any ideas on when the Nvidia 600m or AMD 7000m series gpu's for notebooks will come out? And, Alex, will they be available in a DS laptop when they do?

2) If the GPU's come out in Q2, which I could wait til, why wouldn't I also wait for the Intel 3000 series CPU's? S**T!!!

3) Can I expect the DS laptop cases to undergo any changes in the near future? I heard something about the desktop replacement series cases, but I'm looking at the x17.

4) Not that anybody can answer this, but why have I been lurking on these forums for almost a year and not gotten anything? I've been arguing with myself over a desktop or laptop, forsure DS either way. Since I'm going to school in St. Louis and live near Chicago and constantly am working on Cubase and Pro Tools (audio production) at my friends in home gehtto studio, I have decided the mobility is worth more to me than the power.

I'd still appreciate input on this I want the most for my money $1800-$2100 roughly, all inclusive (monitor, shipping, cooling pad, mouse, speakers, etc.) I'm not in the market yet though, because I'm pretty dead set on waiting for the next GPU's!

It cannot be that heavy man, so we're not talking more than 15 lbs right? That is too heavy

I need a quadcore laptop though, and if I was getting a desktop I wouldn't want to compromise so I'd end up spending about 2300 on that all together. Can't drop that now so I'd go with a 6990m (7990m soon) and the 2670 or 2760...idk yet.

This laptop would be more a mobile desktop because I don't want to move a whole rig from St. Louis to Chicago all the time. It would stay in my dorm (room now) most of the time and if I needed a laptop for mobility I would use my 10" netbook doubt it though.
