Gaming on 22" LG Widescreen, mostly Warhammer and a couple FPS type games (Battlefield, Combat Arms)

While I realize Naehelm is around the corner, Warhammer debuts on 9/18 and I need a new rig, been operating an Alienware (AGP Interface) P4 with a crappy vid card for about 5 years, it's been good to me but time for upgrade.  This is what I've chosen but would like feedback from the community.

Chassis: Digital Storm 850Si
Power Supply: 750W Corsair HX (Dual SLI Compatible) (Silent Edition)
Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad Q9450 2.66GHz (1333MHz FSB) (12MB Cache)
Motherboard: nVidia 790i Ultra Core 2 Quad (nForce 790i Ultra SLI) (DDR3 Only)
System Memory: 4GB DDR3 Corsair at 1333MHz
Hard Drive 1: 150GB Western Digital Raptor (10K RPM) (16MB Cache) (SATA) (Extreme Speed)
Hard Drive 2: 500GB Western Digital (16MB Cache) (7200 RPM) (SATA)
Optical Drive 1: DVD-ROM/CD-ROM (DVD Reader 16x / CD Reader 40x)
Optical Drive 2: DVD±R/RW/CD-R/RW (DVD Writer 20x / CD-Writer 48x)
Wireless Access: High Speed Network Port (Supports High-Speed Cable / DSL / Network Connections)
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 280 1GB
Sound Card: Integrated Motherboard Audio
Extreme Cooling: Liquid Chilled FrostBite CPU Only
Internal Lighting: Blizzard Internal Lighting (Blue Edition) (Cold Cathode Tubes)
Modifications: NVIDIA Enthusiast System Architecture (ESA) System (Install, Test, Optimize Computer)
Boost Processor: Yes, Overclock the processor as much as possible with complete stability
Windows OS: Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium (64-Bit Edition) (For Enthusiasts)
Restore Kit: Digital Storm Specialized Recovery System (DVD Image Based)
Warranty: 3 Year Platinum Care Extended Parts & Labor Warranty

Main Things for discussion:

Went with Quad over Dual, mainly for background apps running while playing, plus some video editing (home videos, Fraps editing etc.)

1 Vid card for now, while on 22" monitor, I know threshold for performance boost is around 22-24" but want to stick to 22" gaming.

Liquid cooling for greater OC, went with the Nvidia Enthusiast cause I can be a noob when it comes to diagnosis of problems and it looks like a cool feature, plus DS dropped the price $50 on it.  2 HD's for OS + Apps/ Gaming files.

I paired the 4GB of ram by speeds to run 1:1, not sure if this is best or if i should consider the 4gb of 1600?

Any suggestions to improvement/dollars spent etc?  I also talked to Duke directly today and want to say he was most helpful in answering all my questions, another testament to DS's superior service.

Comments Appreciated.

We have an 860w ESA PSU and the 1200w ESA PSU both by PC Power and Cooling.
You don't _need_them per se, but, they defintiely would add to the available options and take full advantage of ESA.

Other than that, HM said it all!  Quad over dual, and 1600MHz memory is the best option!

Upgraded to the 860 ESA Edition PSU, keeping the ram, just cant justify the extra 300 for 4gb of 1600 over the 1333.  Ordering tomorrow, appreciate all the help!

yea id say keep the 1333 and just change out to 1600 later if you feel the need.
Ram is easy to change out, and 2x2 1600 basic models (XMS3 Corsair DHX) can be hand on newegg now a days for under 200 bucks..that price will probably fall more before the year is out...

Keep in mind though a lot of these RAMs require you to manually enter in the timings

Looks like a great rig! If in doubt about anything, you can feel comfortable in going with DSO's recommendations. They know how to make computers!

Hey Kelly! Good to see you again! How's that kick@$$ rig of yours?
