I would get the 300GB raptor, a lot faster, allows more storage, should be very small price add.

My Rig just entered Stage 5 today. Yippy.
The best price I found for the Dell Ultrasharp U2410 Monitor is 530.99 from Buy.com and you can get free shipping. Ordered 1/29/10 (with free shipping), shipped 2/1/10 and received it on 2/2/10. I have it hooked up to my current system and WOW what a monitor.
Also if you are looking for the Logitech G9 Gaming Mouse, Best Buy has them on line for 53.51 (while supplies last, normal price 99.99) and that includes the shipping. Just received it today.

I thought that LC wasn't really necessary for one GPU and that the Noctua's should do the cooling nicely. Am I mistaken?

Since I ordered stage 1 overclocking, I could have gone with air cooling. the LC though gives better temps and is quiter. Also the stage 1 OC was free and since this system is Liquid Cooled, if I want to I can increase the OC any time I want. With the lower temps comes more longevity (although there is a mild debate on this). I wanted a system that would last a long time and have upgradability. I believe I accomplished these with my order.
I originally was going to go with the EVGA X58 3x Classified mobo. I have to admit that I really like this board. But, I don't see me ever needing more than 2 graphics cards so the EVGA X58 3x board should be just fine for me.

no you are not mistaken. both air or lc you cpu should last you at least 8 years. if somebody wants to play with their oc and push it past 3.8GHz, its best to have LC. |

I couldn't be more pleased with the OC and temps. Now just need to get it from CA to MI.
I added the wooden crate for shipping when I called them about the temps. I wasn't aware of it until I read a post in another thread. The tech on the phone stated DS considers the wooden crate virtually a must have for those that get Stage 6 Liquid Cooling.
