Greetings, I just bought the BOLT II and loving every min of it. I have a slight problem though. The LED lighting system just doesn't work anymore. It did work for a brief moment of 10m after turning it on then just went out.

How do I fix this or even trouble shoot it? I don't want to open it up because I'm relatively new in customized computers and had one or two classes on it during college.

Hi tquart...   I'm not sure if you have the RGB lighting kit by itself or with the optional $99 Control board.   If its the basic RGB kit, then you'll need to pull off the two side covers.  Thumb screws on the back make it easy.   Bolt AC unplugged of course.
I'm not 100% sure how they wire it , but if its a typical setup, look for a small plastic blue/green control box, inverter, and make sure the connections to it are tight.  The LEDs plug into it and a 4 pin power plug also plugs into it.

If its the optional control board with lighting and fan control there's a white control board you'll need to check for proper connections.

Basically, trace the wires from the LED strips to the control box and check the connection.  And the power plug to the control unit.

Its possible something loosened during shipping or the unit just went bad.

Try the wiring.   If that doesn't do it, then call/email DS tomorrow for help.

Good Luck. Big%20Smile

Thank you so much for a step by step solution with another solution and on top of that solution.

Also, thank you for being kind.
